My friend"s son is in the hospital fighting for his life with Malaria. We were told of the four types his is the worst one to have. He was in the Peace Core and had gone back to visit his village in Africa and when he came home he was very ill. I do not think he is currently insured which makes things even harder. He went to the hospital and now we are sitting here waiting. What medicines should we get him and who are the leading specialists in the field. His parents and all of his friends are sick with worry and we need to help them be proactive. Please help me!!!!!!!!!! We are petrified.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M, Forum. As you described in your query ,seems to be a case of plasmodium falciparum or ALGID MALARIA . Blood and card reports are necessary. Treatment is not possible without hospitalization , so get in an admission and take treatment. Good luck. Dr. HET
hello friend first of all please do not panic.have you gone for patient's blood test.does it confirmed malaria? if no then i would suggest first go for it. if yes and doctors confirm it malaria then please get him immediate treatment. give each and every detail about fever to the doctor...you can opt for chloroquine 250 mg 2 tabs together with a fever reducing drug like paracetamol 500mg. he should be given plenty of liquid otherwise he may dehydrate. give him glucose water or plain water asa more as possible. if fever is high and does not subside you can apply cold water sponges to hhis body... friend but in severe case hospitalization is must so it will be again better if you can do so.... thank you hope it helps
