How To Quit Taking Hydrocodone?

default
Posted on Sat, 24 May 2014
Question: I have been taking but not abusing, hydrocodone for about 15 yrs. I would like to quit taking them and deal with my chronic pain differently. I have been trying to find a Dr. somewhere close to Conroe, Tx. that will prescribe suboxone, but have had no luck. In 1975 I had two herniated discs and spent my 21st birthday in the hospital. Anyway, is there help anywhere close?

Brief Answer:
Suboxone may not be followed standard

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is good that you are trying to come out of hydrocodone soon. There are ways to deal with it and a Addiction Medicine Specialist / Pain Medicine Specialist will help you.

It may not be standard protocol to prescribe suboxone for all the patients who come out of Hydrocodone. Let it be individualized after discussing with your doctor. So It would be difficult to comment who prescribes suboxone. So at this time I suggest you to listen to the doctor how is he/she planning to help you come out of it.

I can help you with one who is specializes in de-addiction
