How To Cure Sprained Ankle ?

Hello! I sprained my ankle twice this morning: once while digging my car out of the snow and a second time while walking back to my home. Both times I heard a cracking/popping noise. Hours later there is not as much swelling as I've had in past ankle sprains but now I feel really nauseated and achy and there is a dull aching pain in my foot and ankle that periodically extends up my leg.  I've had several ankle sprains in my life and am scheduled for surgery next month to repair severely torn/stretched out ligaments and tendons for ankle stability.  I do not remember starting to feel this nauseated hours later past the initial sprain.  Could this be due to the sprain or is it unrelated?

Thank you for your help!

Ankle sprain can be severely painful. It looks to me that you may have damaged your ligament a little too much and that is why pain is more severe. As far as your nauseating feeling is concern, what medication you took for pain relief. And is there any chance that you have taken these medication empty stomach. Drugs like tramadol can cause such feeling. I would recommend you to take a pantaprazole tablet if you are still feeling nauseated.I do not think any corelation between ankle sprain and nausea.
