Dear Mjs, welcome to hcm. It could be related to vertebral disc prolapse or age related degeneration in vertebrae or deficiency of calcium. Please visit an orthopaedic expert, get a ct scan to identify the cause. Hit a thanks. Regards

doctor1 MD

Dear mjs, in your case it would be disc prolapse related to injury. It can start with wrong sitting posture too if you are a student. You should visit an orthopaedic expert. You will require painkillers, anti inflammatory tablets and physiotherapy. If disc prolapse is severe you might have to under go surgery too.hit a thanks. Regards
