Should A Diabetic Patient Fear Septicemia Because Of Symptoms Such As Pressure Sensation And Redness In Toe?

my mother is a diabetic, she has reduced circulatoin in her lft foot she has a recovering pressure sore on th tip of her big toe, but some redness on the side of the toe whitch does nt seem overly painful i think she may have a tempreture as she complained of being hot several times and the room was 21 degrees, there are also two groups of dark red spots on the skin on the side of the led and front of the leg below the knee do i worry all night that this is the start of septicemiea

The symptoms that you have mentioned alone will not cause septicemia..

Septiemia is caused by severe infection involving multiple tissues and organs. it is charectorised by cpassical symptoms like fever with chills and rigors.. inspite of all these th I e chances of septicemia is low

But control sugars properly and use proper antibiotics
