Thanks for your query. You have not mentioned if she has constipation too. Let you wife take high fiber diet or Psyllium husk twice daily to form bulky stools. She will improve with high fiber diet, as well as , a course of Probiotics, such as, Lactobacilli

Hello dear,welcome to HCM forum.
During surgery,diverticulum is removed as such.Since diverticulum is a congenital anomaly,once removed,it will not come back.
