Thanks for contacting HCM. You are concerned that you had a recent colonoscopy and they found a single hyperplastic polyp. These polyps are common and are not associated with cancer. Unless you have a family history of familial polyposis I do not recommend that you get repeat colonoscopies. You can be assured you have no increase risk of colon cancer from a hyperplastic polyp
