Diagnosed With Hypercalcemia. Having Symptoms Of Hyperthyroidism, Teeth Sensitivity While Not Eating, Drinking. Related To Hypercalcemia Or Hyperthyroidism?

I have been recently diagnosed with hypercalcemia and am having a parathyroid nuclear scan next week, I have many of the symptoms of hyperparathyroidism . My question is..... I had been noticing my teeth getting more and more sensitive. It is not when I am chewing but it is the worst when I am not eating or drinking. Could this be related and is there something my dentist could order for me that would make this bearable. I use toothpaste for sentive teeth routinely.

Continue to follow proper brushing and flossing techniques to thoroughly clean all parts of your teeth and mouth.Use a soft bristled toothbrush. This will result in less toothbrush abrasion to the tooth surface and less irritation to your gums. Brush gently and carefully around the gum line so you do not remove more gum tissue.Frequent consumption of highly acid foods can gradually dissolve tooth enamel and lead to dentin exposure. They may also aggravate the sensitivity and start the pain reaction.Daily use of a fluoridated mouth rinse can decrease sensitivity. Ask your dentist about available products for home use.Get professional tooth cleaning, oral hygiene instructions, and fluoride treatments every six months (or sooner depending on your condition).
