Have High SGPT And SGOT Level, Unsaturated Fat High. USG Revealed Infiltration Of Liver. Suggest?
Question: I have high sgpt(149) and sgot level (60). No hepatitis. unsaturated fat high. wt is 100 kg t 5 feet 7 inches or 170 cm. USG revealed grade 2 fatty infiltration of liver
am not a drinker. heavy smoking. eat out quite a lot

You need to be careful. From your reports it appears that you are heading towards metabolic syndrome.
You need to start the following treatment.
1.Reduce weight. This needs to be done with the help of a balanced diet ( a dietitian can help you understand the best diet for you) and regular exercise. You need to be receiving a high protein, low fat and low carbohydrate diet. You also need to avoid sugar, sweets and oil. You would need atleast 50 minutes of exercise daily. This needs to be cardiovascular exercise like walking, skipping or jogging.
2.Medications like ornithine products, sorbiline and tricholine citrate will also help. Please speak with your treating physician about them.
It will take at least 6 months to 1 year for all the parameters to come back to normal.
