Can Soreness In Throat Be A Result Of Nicotine In Cigarettes?

cut down on smoking.....only having 4 cigarettes a day opposed to 20. Im 42 and healthy and decided to quit using an e cigarette with a low dose of nicotine. My throat feels sore only on one side and sometimes the pain goes to my ear. Is this a sign of throat cancer?

Hi, thank you for asking Healthcare Magic.
At times the brain interprets pain coming from the throat as if it were coming from the ear (referred pain). The common causes of sore throat are inflammations that might involve the throat itself or some organs like tonsils. I would suggest you see a GP or ENT specialist for proper assessment.

I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you.
I wish you good health
