Hi, Thanks for writing in. The back bone is made of small bones aligned one on top of each other with discs between them. At the discs, nerves from spinal cord comes out through holes on either side. As a person grows older, the discs can become out of place and apply pressure on the nerves causing pain. This is called pinching of nerve.
