Hello, and thanks for the question. A cyst can grow quickly, especially if it is filling up with fluid or pus. Within a week or so, a cyst can grow from undetectable to the size of a walnut. Tumors, on the other hand, grow more slowly. Cysts are typically not dangerous. But please make an appointment to see your doctor about the bump, unless it goes away within the next few days. ez
