Hi. As you may know the fractures of the lower part take more time to heal and the internal soft tissue injury also take more time. Due to the immobility of the part the edema is not settling early. SO you get the swelling. The best ways is to elevated the affected leg above the heart level in lying down position. Continue Physiotherapy as advised by your Orthopedic Surgeon. This helps a lot
