Frequent Urination, Dark Spotting And Cramps After Periods. Had A Pap Smear. Is That The Reason?

It has been 21 days since the last time I had sex. 20 days ago I had a pap smear and then the next day I had, what I believe to be, my period. Now it is about 18 days since my period ended and I have been experiencing frequent urination, thick and dark blood, cramps, and back pain. Can I still be pregnant even though I had a period after the last time I had sex? Could what I thought was my period just be bleeding from the pap smear?

Hi

The bleeding that you had was most probably your periods. It does not seem to be coming from the process of taking pap smear. Though periods can happen even in the presence of pregnancy. I will recommend that you go for urine or blood pregnancy test.
