Is 50 Mg Cozaar Daily The Right Course For A Normal Dosage?
I am 65 years old with a blood pressure reading at the doctor s office of 155-166. Just received prescription for 50 mg Cozaar daily, 1/2 tab am and 1/2 tab pm. Is this a normal dosage to start this med as a new medication. I have no real heart disease. Thank you

Hello.The recommended starting dose of Losartan for a person with no history of heart pathology is 50 mg daily, the same that you're taking.In function of your blood pressure figures the dose may be increased to a maximum of 100 mg.
