well.... pancreatitis can kill you, but that is more the acute. THen, it does increase the risk of pancreatic cancer. And, if the pancreas is really destroyed, the glands inside of it are also destroyed and you become a type I diabetic. Rather a reason not to drink. Chronic pancreatitis is quite painful and any alcohol at all massively increases the risk of it getttiing much worse.
