Can A Cardiac Patient Of 67 Years Be Fit For Implantation Of Pacemaker?

67 yr old male cardiac patient (with micro-valve replacement; now needs implantation of defibulator/pacemaker), is currently taking cumadine and needed dental work is prerequisite to this urgently needed cardiac surgery (previously treated at Memorial Hosp Med Ctr, Springfield, IL as indigent). Has no dental coverage, Oral Surgeon, or info as to where to turn. Cardiac surgery has been resch d 2x and he has been told his heart is weakening each day and cannot continue to be delayed. He has been left to find resolve on his own - Patient is my bro who is attempting to prepare family for the worst thinking there is no recourse. LOOKING FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE!!!!!

Pace maker implantation is a life saving procedure so if it is clearly indicated then it needs to be done.

As there is no individual age restrictions for under going procedure it is recommended to undergo the procedure.
