Had Cardiac Bypass Surgery. Suggestions For Workouts To Improve Upper Body Strength, Stamina?

Hi I've been trying to get a schedule for exercises after my cardiac bypass surgery for the last three months.
I've been walking every day but only about 1/2 a mile or so, since I live on a working berry farm I need to rebuild
my upper body strength as well as my stamina. Suggestions for working out a program please.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Three months ago , you operated for heart.
Now for another six months don't think about increase in stamina.
After six months of surgery start 1 mile of walking.
Gradually increase the speed of walking.
After one year of surgery , think about stamina.
Now arteries of heart are just repaired so healing will take more time.
As you want an increase in stamina so rate of heart beat will also increase , so cardiac out put , hence pressure over repaired arteries.
One year is sufficient.
Hope I have answered your query.
If further any question I will help.
GOOD LUCK.
Dr. HET
