Hello and welcome to HCM, Pain during menstruation is due to dysmenorrhea. PCOS is not associated with dysmenorrhea. PCOS is the failure of the mature ovum to be released by the ovaries. It will not cause pain during menstruation. Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
