This is surprisingly common. Nothing is all that bad for nearly all the causes: the esophagus goes through the diaphram to the stomach. Full stomach can press on the esophagus; can even pop thru it into the chest (hiatal hernia). Of course the diaphram presses on the stomach with a deep breath so a sore stomach (ulcer) will hurt with a deep breath. And the diaphram can hurt with resp. infection.
