Hi, Welcome to HCM Bacterial Vaginosis would respond to many antibiotics including Ampicillin and Tetracyclins. But the drug of choice is Tablet Metranidazole 400-500mg twice daily PO, for 7 days as it will take care of Trichomonas infestation and anearobes. If you are not able to take tablet Metranidazole, Metranidazole gel or Clindamycin gel can be tried with success. Get well soon. DrS.Murugan

Unfortunately, there aren't any products that can be purchased without a prescription that are effective. Oral metronidazole, vaginal metrogel, and clindamycin all work well but require a prescription. I hope this answers your question, please let me know if I can be of further help
