Thanks for contacting HCM I am sorry to hear that you are having shooting pains while walking. This sounds like you may have sciatica. This is a nerve in your buttock that is getting pinched and causes severe shooting almost lightening like pain down the leg. Please see you medical provider for diagnosis and treatment
