The best way to look for disc problems is to get an MRI of the Cervical Spine. You don't need contrast for the procedure. That scan will rule out.. or rule in disc issues.

Not really if you have bulge disc you can take physiotherapy treatment and do exercise suggested by physio as well do postural correction and keep using hot and cold pack when ever it pains if all this not helping then visit a ortho for further treatment and suggestion. Hit thanks and take care.

Hi there, Thanks for your query. The problems are due to spasm of the neck muscles. A short course of ibuprofen + paracetamol and hot compresses should give you relief. Other causes, such as, cervical spondylosis and bulged disc need exclusion through MRI. Dr. Rakesh Karanwal
