Pain In Shoulder And Biceps, Tender Elbow, Lump In Bicep. Underlying Cause?
I have been having pain in m yleft shoulder and biceps(mainly) and sometimes my elbow is a little tender. This has been going on for 8 or 9 weeks,. I went to my doctors and he is having me go to physical therapy. I have gone 6 times now and still very sore. Cannot move arm in a backward motion or if I do any sudden moves it hurts very very much. My therapist and I have noticed also there is a slight lump in my bicep and she told me it could be a cist and to keep an eye on it but it is not the cause of the pain I am having she said. What could this small lump mean? I am right handed by the way.
The symptoms can be attributed to injury/ pathology in soft tissues in the shoulder joint. The lump is due to swelling in the soft tissue, secondary to the inflammatory process. Symptomatic relief can be obtained with anti inflammatory preparations, application of analgesic+muscle relaxant gel & Physiotherapy exercises as suggested by your Doctor. If symptoms still persist, kindly consult an Orthopedician for proper clinical examination. Investigation like MRI of the shoulder joint will be helpful in detecting the pathological cause for the symptoms.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
