General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi there. Thank you for posting your question with Healthcaremagic. I will do my best to help you.

I am so sorry. Your mother is gravely ill and the prognosis is very poor indeed. Her carers need to discuss with you and your sister and with your mother, whether it is wise to continue to push chemotherapy or whether it may be wiser to now instigate palliative care. If it were my mother, I would want for her the latter only. But you should be allowed in on this decision. You are entitled to that.

I hope that I have answered your questions fully and been of some help. If you have anymore questions please contact me again anytime.

Dr Andrew Rynne.
