Hello, Thanks for writing to us. Cause of occurence of cough and cold has to be evaluated clinically ,especially in children. Respiratory tract infections has to be ruled out. Usually for cold-phenylephrine hydrochloride and chlorpheniramine maleate containing syrup is given for child. Regading the severity of cough,prednisolone or ambroxol hydrochloride containing syrup has to be administerd
