Does Coeliac Disease Cause High BP?

Does Celiacs Disease cause high BP? I have both...the BP systolic pressure goes up to 175 at times and down to the 150 s....right now I m on Lisinopril having tried Losarta with out success. My doctor has now suggested Benicar ARB but I am afraid of the side effects. Thank you

Celiac disease is not associated with increased blood pressure.

Unfortunately there are potential side effects of all medications. These effects may or may not occur, most persons do not experience any side effects.

There are complications of uncontrolled hypertension and it would best to get your readings under control with medication, diet and activity.

You may not experience any side effects of benicar. You may want to consider trying it as suggested by your doctor. If you have issues, it can be discontinued.
