hi

what you are getting is nasal regurgitation it happen when your soft palate fail to go up while eating or drinking. This happen when there is palatal palsy or there is defect in soft palate. consult ENT specilaist let him examine and will advise you properly

you didn't mention your age.have you got an attack of flu like symptoms or jaundice in the recent past or having nasal vioce?if yes,this may be due to transient palatal palsy because vericella zoster infection and hepatitis virus have high predilection for brain and nervous tissue.it is usually resolve within 6-8 weeks.but this palatal palsy may be the early menifestation of neurolocal diseases which will be florid later on .so consult with a neurologist and get a thorouh neurological examination.
