General & Family Physician, Dr. Jagdish's Response
Hi WELCOME TO HEALTHCAREMAGIC
Sudden Toe pain is due to Gout. You can measure your uric acid levels in blood, you can get the joint aspiration of joint fluids for microscopic examination, Urine Uric Acid (24 hour collection), X ray of foot, to confirm the diagnosis.
Any NSAIDs help. You need avoid red meat.
Regards, Dr. Jagdish
