What Is Recommended To Cure Severe Pain In Rib Cage?

Hello, I am a 52 year old male with many ongoing neurological issues and have been placed on disability as such (5/2010). Over the past 1.5 years, I have had a constant nagging pain just below my left ribcage and it will flair up to a severe pain (constant) about 5 hours after I eat an average to large meal. It will continue for about 5 hours & then back to a steady pain. I have had an upper scope into the stomach, X-rays and CT scan of upper GI and all is showing normal. I have not been able to associate the pain with any foods, spices, hot / cold, etc. I asked my gastro doctor if any of the many medications I was on could be causing this and he doesn t believe so. Could you recommend anything I should be noting to myself to speak to him about or have any ideas as to what may be causing this issue? Any help would be Greatly Appreciated. Regards, John Clark

thanks for your question
it seems like you have gastritis / peptic ulcer / duodenal ulcer .
you need to consult a gastro who can prescribe you with some proton pump inhibitor like pantoprazole and some antispasmodics and also some syrups of alkalising agents
disscuss the above with your gastro specialist so that he ll prescribe the appropriate medications
h pylori infection causes peptic ulcer and without anti h pylori medications it doesnt go easily
dont panic , as all your investigations regarding heart are normal
thanks
