What Causes Shortness Of Breath During Sleep?
recently my wife has been sleeping then she cant catch her breat, last night she had a bad episode, I don't know what to do, should I hit her between her shoulders as she ask? I was about to call 911 when she finally got her breathing back.
She wont go to the doctors as she says it comes and goes, but it is scarring me. Do you know what this is called and caused from?

It may be sleep apnea that cause shortness of breath during sleep.
It mainly occurs in obeise person and alsओ may be in smokers.
Sometimes it is idiopathic. Please ro somnography ( sleep study) of the pateint that diagnose the real problem.
It may also be due to some cardiac problem.
For sleep apnea CPAP is the tratment of choice.
