What Are The Health Insurance Available In Medical Field For Senior Citizens
I want to know the best suited medical cover for my Uncle who is 70 years of age.. I have seen some policies like Oriental's Family floater. Is it advisable to go for "Family Insurance" policy or Individual policy? Please Advise

For senior citizens, it is never a good idea to club with the family floaters.Best is to get a stand alone insurance at get a higher coverage insurance even if the premium is high.Major risk factors like coronary (double stent costs around 3 lakhs, a bypass surgery costs almost same) like require 3-4 lakh coverage.Cancer may need a higher.Best is to get a sum assured of upto 5 lakhs separately for your uncle.

There's nothing about anything specific to family floaters or individual plans. I will always say individual is better as it does affect the group as a whole. The US government has approoved the healthcare bill so even the uninsured or people who traditionally did not have healthcoverage will now be covered under state insurance policy. President Obama and United States have done a good work for the uninsured specially elderly people.
