Unborn Baby Without Or Underdeveloped A Stomach
my neice had to have an ultra sound today she is 5 months preg the dr told her that her baby either don't have a stomach or it is underdeveloped . my question is is how is it possible for her to be 5 months and her baby not have a stomach ?

Stomach not seen on sonography ,always does meant absent stomach.Get sonogarphy repeated. there are certain congenital malformation in which stomach bubble is not visible on ultrasound. An absent or small fetal stomach after 18 weeks gestation is associated with a guarded prognosis. Disclaimer
