Sore Throat, Ears Hurt When Swallow

Have a sore throat, now my ears hurt when swallow. Was prescribed Cheratussin to help with the cough. The cough is better but now brings tears to my eyes to swallow. What is this?

You are suffering from, acute pharyngitis, take a good antibiotic, anti inflamatory pain killer.

Do warm saline gargles,

The pain in ears is the referred pain, there will be no pathology in your ears.

Hi,

You seem to be having pharyngitis which is causing you difficulty in swallowing. Drink plenty of warm water and do gargles with povidone iodine mouth gargles.
