my nose blocked for an year.

Hello doctor, I have had a blocked nose for over year, its always on the left side, but in the morning when I wake up, both nostrils are blocked. It started when I began swimming, I had an infection, and was on anti-biotics, but my nose remained blocked. I am 32, 5.2 and I weigh 122 pounds

welcome to health care magic forum.
I would advise you to take plain water steam daily at night before sleep.
In the morning when u get up in the bed itself do some deep bresthing exercises like pranayam and anlom vilom. i.e inhale through one nostril and exhale through another nostril.
also avoid cold , sour things for a few days.
u may also take homoeopathic medicine Kalium carbonicum 200 once a week dose.
Take care
ENT Specialist Dr. Naveen Kumar's  Response
Hi Sharon,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum,
This appears to be chronic sinusitis. You can definitely do steam inhalation, also drink plenty of warm water. Get a thorough check up done by a good ENT specialist to rule out any polyps/ deviated nasal septum.

Take care

Dr. Naveen Kumar
