My child is 8 and has started puberty is there something wrong with her?

Hi.. The normal age of onset of puberty is between 10 to 12 in girls and between 12 to 14 in boys.. The age however has lot of variation.. Puberty below the age of 8 years can be considered precocious puberty.. And it is a normal variant of the normal physiological condition.. Rarely it is associated with other medical conditions.. You may need regular screening for breast cancer and uterine cancers during her life..
