I am 31 years old. My marriage was held on june 2003. I am having 4 years old daughter. That is ceasarian operation. Before marriage, I have a problem of irregular period. That is 50 or 60 days once i got a period. After delivery, I have the same problem. Doctor told me that I am having poly cyctic ovaries. They gave the femilon tablet. I used for six months and after that I stopped it due to severe pain in both legs and knee. My last date of period was on 9 june 2008 and after 5 months i didn't have the period. I went to other doctor. She take all the test and said that I am having sugar, little cholesterol and PCO problem. My weight is 74 and my beight is 160. My Sugar Fasting: 105 mg/dL PP: 142 mg/dL My LDL Cholesterol :124.6 mg/dL. She gave the Tablet Glycomet and ask me to reduce my weight. Questions: (1) My question is PCO is curable or not. (2) Am I a diabetic patient? (3) Did i have to take the glycomet lifelong?
Yes,PCO is curable.You are mildly diabetic.Reduce your weight,eat healthy food and exercise daily.Repeat your blood test for diabetes after 3 months.If you follow the above regime,you may be able to discontinue glycomet.
