my wife is due for knee replacement in two days. About a month ago she discovered a nodule on the side of the knee which is firm but movable and mildly painful to the touch. Her primary still sighed her off for surgery, but I am not good with this. Should not the lump have been thoroughly diagnosed before the scheduled surgery

I am scheduled for knee replacement surgery and was told to be careful not to scratch or cut my leg. I didn t break the skin, but I banged my knee and have a small almost unnoticeable bruise. It happened 1 week ago and I have 5 days until surgery. Is this likely to be an issue?
