express scripts called and said that the drug they just filled for my husband Irbesartan tab 300 mg was the same as another drug he was already taking, he is taking, carvedilol, diflunisal, furosemide, pravastatin, doxazosin, omeprazole, pradaxa, so which is the one irbesartn equivalent to?

Hello,

None of the drugs you've mentioned is equivalent to irbesartan. Doxazosin and carvedilol may also lower his blood pressure but they do not belong to the same drug class and cannot be compared to irbesartan. Perhaps you haven't mentioned all the drugs he's taking? Please let me know if he's using other medications as well.
