Stress can cause hi blood pressure by releasing certain hormones associated with fight or flight response. These hormones will cause vasoconstriction of your blood vessels, thus increasing blood pressure. This same hormones such as Epi, norepi or cortisol (a stress hormone) will also increase the heart rate and respiration rate, which is why you may experience shortness of breathe. I suggest to try exercising more, it will release the good hormones such as endorphins (make you happy/calm). Also eat a healthy diet with lots of fruits and vegetables and also find the sources of stress and try to eliminate those. Try to sleep early and get a good rest, and you will feel refreshed the next day. Your headaches could be due to high bp and a way of your body telling you something is not right or there is an imbalance such as lack of sleep and etc. Make a few lifestyle changes and you’ll be fine.

Stress can raise the blood pressure by 15 points or more . I would request an MIR and other tests ,as I would be concerned about the headaches .BTW Do you KNOW for sure your blood pressure is getting high , or does it just feel that way ? The shortness of breath tends to indicate a form of an anxiety attack . Try not to respond to situations in an "A type" manner . For example when someone cuts you off ,say something to yourself like " Maybe the poor guy has a problem on his mind ,or, I've made mistakes like that myself ." This helps you more than allowing anger to surface and cause an increase in blood pressure .
