Hello,

Neck pain radiating to the left shoulder and left hand may be a sign of heart attack. It may also present with symptoms of shortness of breath, light headedness, chest pain, discomfort in the back, neck and lower jaw. In case of such symptoms visit ER, get clinically examined, if need be, you will be referred to a Cardiologist.

Get all required blood tests, cardiac function tests and imaging tests done to detect any developing coronary artery disease that needs urgent medical attention and treatment. Other underlying medical conditions that can cause similar symptoms are sprains and strains, nerve impingement, cervical radiculopathy, whiplash, etc. Get clinically examined and evaluated. Get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
