Small White String In Urine. What Could This Be?
Have a problem. When I urinated today a bunch of small white stringy stuff was in the bowl after. Pretty sure it was from me. Haven t gone again since. I am a male. Never had anything like this happen before. What are my possibilities here? Also: No heath coverage for the next week or two probably. Just started a job a little under three months ago.

White or cloudy urine with particulate matter is due to Phosphaturia. Our urine contains a lot of phosphate, when this is slightly in excess, this forms crystals which precipitate out. It can be in excess due to factors in the diet, such as milk or excess protein, due to inadequate water intake or due to dehydration. This is nothing to worry about, it is a perfectly normal phenomenon.

Threads in urine indicates a healing or present infection of the urinary passage. Look for urine deposit examination in a laboratory. If it reveals more than 5 pus cells and go for a culture and sensitivity test and you need a treatment with antibiotics .
If there is no pus cells or less than 5, you cal wait and see for a spontaneous healing.
If the substance is powdery or crystals your urine deposit will reveal casts, according to which further investigation and treatment has to be planned.
Nothing serious.
Consult a urologist. He will help you in this regard.
