Bleeding During Pregnancy

Hi,I am 11weeks pregnant and am experiencing some bleeding. It is like the start of your period.I experienced some bleeding and spotting for the first 3-4 weeks of my pregnancy and had a scan at 8 weeks which confirmed everything was ok and the baby was developing normally. They could find no reason for the bleeding. This is my first pregnancy and as I am 40 I am worried I might be losing the baby.Any advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,

Hello,
Some ladies do experience some spotting in early pregnancy but if the bleeding is more than that then there is cause to worry. You should get another scan to check fetal viability. The formation of hematoma may also cause this kind of bleeding so the ultrasound is needed. Some support with progesterone might be helpful.Take rest and keep your legs at a higher level than your head in supine position.I recommend getting that scan done.
