My wife aged 36 had giddiness yesterday. We just started our shopping and she was standing in a shop. suddenly she felt uneasiness. We made het sit on a chair. After a few seconds she became unconsious. We sprinkled water on her face and after a few seconds she opened her eyes. Then she took rest for 10-15 minutes in the shop and then we moved out. That time she felt like gas coming out of mouth from stomach . She was feeling uneasiness and giddiness feeling for another 1 hour or so. There after she was normal. I fainted the other day after riding a bike about 2miles in 95˚ heat. I was standing in line at a deli and felt faint, so I sat down, I felt dizzy and my vision was fading to black. I drank some water. But when I got up again, I fainted. I had not eating breakfast. I had only drank a few ounces of water in 12 hours prior to fainting. I am 44. Very lean. Recently lost about 10 pounds due to a change diet. I was taken to an ER. The ran several tests. EKG (OK) xrays (OK). Blood was ok. I think I smacked my head pretty good. I feel a bit woozy or slow sometimes. The doctor said my triponum level was indeterminate. It was .1 they tested it again several hours later and it was the same. He said it was not high but it was not low. THey are suggesting more tests. What do you think?

I have always had episodes of almost fainting and have actually fainted at times. This last time I was sitting down and after I stood up and began to walk, I felt dizzy and almost fainted. I held onto the couch and was able to sit down in case I did actually faint. The episode subsided after I sat down for a minute and I did not lose conciousness - however, my legs were uncontrollably shaking approx 10 to 15 seconds during this episode. Is this a common symptom of fainting (legs shaking - knees buckling)?
