Yellow Fluid From Infection, Redness, Raised And Patchy Skin. Had Eczema And Staph Infection. On Regimen. How Bad Is It?

Last month I went to see an MD about an infected (weeping yellow fluid) red, raised patchy rash on my shins. She had no idea what it was and I was referred to a dermatologist who diagnosed me with eczema and a staph infection. I was put on a 2 week regimen of mupirocin 2% and clobetasol .05% which I was supposed to apply for two weeks once or twice a day half an hour apart from each other. I started with twice a day and then switched to once a day as it moved through and got better. I have not been using the creams for about a week and a half now, as it had cleared up. I went back to see the dermatologist for a follow-up, and she said it was healing, and to not put anything (not even Vitamin E) on it, to just let it heal. I am concerned about scarring, but she said to just leave it alone.
Two days ago, I finally felt my legs were healed enough to shave, and as soon as I did (with a brand new razor) - the infection appeared to be back. There was red, bumpy skin that had weeping yellow fluid again. So I used the two creams, and also put straight (not mixed with a carrier oil) tea tree oil on it at one point in the past few days. It appears dried up today. I'm confused if the staph may have returned or if it was just from scraping the skin by shaving? How should I treat it if it comes back again? I am concerned about leaving marks, and also about not overdoing the cortisone cream. Also - I have been very nauseous the whole time I have been using the creams, not sure which one is the cause of that. Thank you so much for any help you can offer me. Be well.

Hi you are suffering from eczema and you should be careful about the use of hair removing methods avoid irritants because that may worsen the eczema that is irritant contact dermatitis. you should apply steroid creams like methyle prednisolone or betamethasone or clobetasol 0.5% if it is infected then you should also apply fusidic cream or mepirocin cream.do not use synthetic material like nylon stockings etc .To confirm the infection you can have culture sensitivity of the fluid from lesion and if confirmed then you should take a course of antibiotic like amoxicillin or cephalosporin like cefixime for a weak.
