Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Would Missing Breakfast Cause Dizziness While Following A Special Diet To Avoid Stomach Issues?
My granddaughter has been having light headiness and close to blacking out. she is on special diet for stomach problems. so she has to watch what she eats. been going on for several months. she does eat light and does not eat breakfast. but i dont see how missing one meal would cause light headiness.
Hello there. I have read through your question and can understand your concern. I would like to tell you that missing breakfast can in fact cause light headedness. It is because we are already not eating anything through out the night and if we skip breakfast also it may lead to hypoglycemia, which in turn will cause light headedness. I would advise to get her blood sugar levels tested also Haemoglobin test to rule out other causes. I hope that answers your question. if you have any other questions please feel free to write.
