Would It Be Fine To Take Magnesium With Hypertension Medication?

I currently take 5mg of rampiril daily and was wondering if taking magnesium would be alright along with the hypertension medication. The dosage of magnesium is 400 mg. I also have arthritis in my lower spine and was told the magnesium might help control the pain.
