Would Cord Blood Help In Repairing Hep.c Infection Of The Baby?

I am pregnant, due in June this year. My step dad has Hepatitis C, and is scheduled for gall bladder surgery (removal) this month. I am wondering if I saved my baby to be s cord blood, if it could help repair some of the damage Hep C has done to his liver. He had blood transfusions done in the 70 s thus resulting in the hep c. my question is this: would the cord blood be helpful in his case?

HI
Well come to HCM
If your father is having Hepatitis C then I am afraid the cord blood wont help him, because the your father is having viral infection and this is all about the viral particles pays the role and this is directly related with DNA of virus, and cord blood just nothing to with that, hope this helps.
I find this answer helpful
