Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Yes, it will help.
2. In uncomplicated infections, it will be helpful. If symptoms does not reduce within 2-3 days, get a urine culture and sensitivity to identify appropriate antibiotic.
3. Also ask her to take plenty of water. 10 days is too long, infection can go up and result in kidney infection. Next time, early treatment would be better. After treatment, repeat urine microscopy to confirm absence of infection.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
