Would a woman having complex atypical endrometrial hypalsia adenmoysis need regular checkups for hypalsia post hysterectomy ?

I am 31 having a hysterectomy in 3 weeks. I have complex atypical endrometrial hypalsia adenmoysis. When Hysterectomy is done is it usually a total cervix ovaries as well or just uterus or uterus and ovaries. found out tuesday def needed hysterectomy got date date for op on thursday. I never even thought about asking about cervix. If i keep ovaries (the produce excessive oestrogen and minimal if any progesterone) am i at a higher risk of cervical cancer and ovarian cancer . (ovaries have pcos and non pcos cysts). after hysterectomy will i need any regular checks/tests because of the hyplasia. ty for your help

hello
welcome to health care magic. do not worry, you will be fine. this complex atypical hyperplasia has a chance of progession to endometrial cancer so must have a hysterectomy. your gynae-oncosurgeon will advise on the hormonal treatment that you will need once your ovaries are also removed. also it is better you get a total hysterectomy(ie get the cervix removed). you will need a follow up after your surgery but do not worry ,initially the follow up will be frequently.however after a year it will be only once a year.

I had a partial hysterectomy one year ago. I just went last week for my first pap since the hysterectomy. The results came back hgsil. Im scheduled to go in for a colposcopy next week. Are there any particular questions that I need to ask? Is vaginal cancer rare? I m just concerned because I thought everything would be normal after the surgery. I think my doctor was even surprised

I had an ovarian cyst removed two weeks ago. The cyst was 20cm or 2 litres, and benign as far as I know. My question is: Is the burning sensation above the incision normal? The tender and burning area is swollen and looks like a fat roll the same length as the incision. The incision is horizontal and about 7 inches long. I also broke out in hives on different parts of my body two days ago--I don t know if this is relevant to the surgery. I am 5 1 , 120 llbs and 56 yrs old.

I am 41. I am going in for my 8th laparoscopy tomorrow for yet another painful ovarian complex cyst. This time my Dr. has suggested the removal of this ovary. My last cyst was removed 18 months ago. I lost my left ovary to a large dermoid cyst in 2009. Heading into surgical menopause makes me nervous. I know how my body reacts to a laparoscopy, but how will I feel if I am thrown into menopause? Do I just have the surgery and remove the ovary, to do it again in another 18 months, or just take out my last ovary now and move one. I am so confused.

Hi, I just recived the results of a ultrasound transvaginal sonogram and I whould like to know what this means. Findings: Real-Time grayscale and color doppler evaluation of the pelvis through transvaginal approach was performed. The uterus is normal in size measuring 6.1 x 2.8 x 2.5 cm. Thickening od the endometrial cavity is noted measuring 1.4 cm. The ovaries demastrate normal sonographic apperance. The right ovary measures 1.2 x 0.8 x 1.6 cm. The left ovary measures 2.6 x 2.4 x 2.7 cm. No ovarian lession or adnexal masses are noted. 1.7 x 1.4 cm hetereogenous cystic abnormality is noted in the left ovary with internal echogenicity and soft tissue. This could be related to involution hemorrhagic cyst. Free fluid is noted in the cul-de-sac. Impression: Small complicated right ovarian cyst is noted. Prominent endometrial cavity and free fluid wich could be physiologic in nature. Short-term followup is advised to assure resolution.
